Kadaster
The Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency – in short Kadaster – collects and registers administrative and spatial data on property and the rights involved. This also goes for ships, aircrafts and telecom networks. Doing so, Kadaster protects legal certainty. We are also responsible for national mapping and maintenance of the national reference coordinate system. Furthermore, we are an advisory body for land-use issues and national spatial data infrastructures.
Our information is available predominantly through online web services, including information on energy labels of houses and underground cables and pipelines. Our main customer groups are civil-law notaries, local authorities, businesses, financial institutions and private individuals. Kadaster maintains the Key Registers Cadastre and Topography.
Kadaster performs its public tasks in service of society. This is reflected in the way we are organised and the ways in which we publicly account for how we work.
Description of the project in which the employee is put to work:
Kadaster International is looking for an: International advisor on Fit-For-Purpose Land Administration and FELA in our projects Improving Land Administration in Indonesia, Digitising archives Armenia, Land-at-Scale Rwanda and SPATIAL in the Western Balkan.
Improving Modern Land Registration in Indonesia
Support of the ATR/BPN in the organisational and institutional transition is needed to achieve the Government's ambition of mapping all land plots in Indonesia by 2025.
Although land administration is not a direct focus of the Embassy, a good land administration system and a reliable real estate market is fundamental for economic and social stability and gender equality in Indonesia and is considered one of the most important pillars for economic development.
It provides a stabilising factor for foreign investment and supports the local climate for economic growth.
Digitising Archives Armenia
The aim of this project is to support the Real Estate Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia (RECC) in the digitisation of cadastral archives in Armenia, a key activity of the RECC's five-year plan aimed at a more transparent, secure, uniform and citizen-oriented cadastral system. This project will contribute to Armenia's economic development and the strengthening of the private sector, as cadastral archives will become more transparent and the quality of land and property documentation will improve.
Land at Scale Rwanda
Kadaster has collaborated with the Rwanda Land Management and Use Authority (RLMUA) since 2008. The last project focused on the land administration information system extension and upgrade. In August 2021, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) programme Land-at-Scale approved a funding application to continue the cooperation for the next four years.
SPATIAL II Western Balkan
The follow-up project to Spatial I will further strengthen professional access to land information in the Western Balkans, now that we have a better and common understanding of the current situation in the region regarding developments to provide reliable spatial information to society.
The project will contribute to supporting the national cadastre and land registration organisations (NMCA) to achieve, among other things, the effective management of spatial information and effective land administration.
