Sr. System Administrator

De opdrachtomschrijving: The Senior System Administrator (2 FTE) duties consist of:

• Install, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the NR/NY/NX/NS-1GNC.
• Examine the Audit, Security and Maintenance Logs daily;
• Provide Security advice to the Installation manager, staff and system users;
• Monitor and conduct the implementation of hardware and software modifications;
• Managing thin clients, fat clients and server computers;
• Managing storage resources, NTFS / share / EDMS / Tasker Tracker Plus (TT+) / Portal permissions, MFD and printers;
• Monitoring server health and security;
• Managing Active Directory-, DNS, DHCP, IIS, mail and other services;
• Inform Munster Detachement Chief Back Office of any proposed modifications to the system;
• Monitor and manage Antivirus software;
• Ensure backup of data according to SecOps orders 1GNC;
• Disaster recovery and prevention according to order Chief Back Office;
• Testing and implementing software on order Chief Back Office.

Achtergrondomschrijving Within 1 German-Netherlands Corps headquarters (HQ) the Munster Detachement is responsible for all IT systems. Due to the restructuring of the HQ into a Warfighting Capable HQ the complexity and workload has increased significantly. As a result the Munster Detachement is understaffed. In order to ensure the continuity of IT services to the HQ additional capacity is needed, which is procured through external hiring. All tasks related to the job to be executed from 1GNC, Munster, Germany. De professional moet bereid zijn de hele week in Munster te werken. • eCF profiel: Systems Administrator - je hebt minimaal 3 jaar aantoonbare werkervaring met het gekozen eCF profiel of soortelijke functie. Deze opdracht is gebaseerd op het European e-Competence Framework (e-CF). Dit is een Europese standaard voor het beschrijven van IT-competenties en het bijbehorende niveau van verantwoordelijkheid. Het eCF-profiel geeft aan welke competenties en op welk niveau (e-1 t/m e-5) van je verwacht worden. Wij verwachten dat je in je cv duidelijk aantoont dat je over deze competenties beschikt. Dit kan door per relevante opdracht of functie te beschrijven: welke rol je vervulde welke werkzaamheden en verantwoordelijkheden daarbij hoorden in welke mate deze aansluiten op de gevraagde eCF-competenties en het niveau. Cvs waarin de gevraagde eCF-competenties niet aantoonbaar terugkomen, kunnen niet volledig worden beoordeeld op geschiktheid.
• Generieke beschrijving van het eCF profiel: het zorgen voor de integriteit van het systeem door het toepassen van functionele-updates, software- of hardware toevoegingen en het inregelen van onderhoudsactiviteiten; het voldoen aan de budget requirements.
• Overige niveaus binnen de schaalrange: eCF2 Professional - het systematisch handelen om tijdens wijzigingen te reageren op de dagelijkse operationele behoefte, het voorkomen van serviceonderbrekingen en de samenhang met SLA en informatiebeveiligingsvereisten te handhaven.
• Samenvattende opgave en missie: Installeert software, configureert en verbetert ICT- systemen. Beheert de dagelijkse activiteiten om te voldoen aan de continuiteit van service, herstel, beveiliging en prestatiebehoeften.

• Systeemgerelateerde problemen onderzoeken, diagnosticeren en oplossen
• Software installeren en upgraden
• Test upgrades
• Plan installatie werkzaamheden om verstoring te minimaliseren
• Diagnose en oplossing van hardware- of softwareproblemen
• Voldoen aan de organisatieprocedures om de integriteit en veiligheid van het systeem te waarborgen

Wensen

• De professional heeft bij voorkeur meer dan aangegeven eis aantoonbare werkervaring met de gevraagde functie binnen het eCF profiel.
• Degree in Systemintegration according to EQF level 6 (Netherlands: Bachelor / Germany: Meister Fachinformatiker Systemintegration)
• Proficiency in English according to STANAG 6001, SLP 3332
• De professional heeft ten minste 5 jaar werkervaring als Server/System Administrator in een CIS/IT functie.
• Experience in working in a multinational military environment, for example NCIA, NSPA, UN depending on context or Ministry of Defence.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Administration training and experience is a big plus.
• Windows Server Administration (former MCSE program) / Expert-level knowledge required. Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex Windows Server environments independently.
• Windows Active Directory (AD) / Ability to deploy, configure and manage AD Domain Services, as well as experience in AD Certificate Services.
• Windows OS Group Policy Management / Experience in designing and maintaining a GPO structure in a production Active Directory is essential.
• Windows IIS, SQL, KMS and Clustering (File Share, SQL, SOFS) / De professional moet comfortabel zijn met het implementeren en beheren van deze diensten in een bedrijfsomgeving.
• MS Exchange / Experience in Microsoft Exchange Server (2013 or newer).
• MS Powershell / Scripting expeirence is a core requirement.
• VMWARE knowledge / Experience in creating and managing virtual machines, configuring virtual networking and storage, snapshots and resource pools.
• VEEAM Back-up / Experience with protecting virtual workloads, which includes configuring and managing backup and replication jobs and setting up backup infrastructure components.
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM, former System Center Configuration Manager) / Working knowledge required, which includes software deployment, operating system deployment, patch management, compliance settings, hardware and software inventory and endpoint protection integration.
• Trellix (formerly McAfee) / Experience in administrating endpoint security, data protection solutions and data loss prevention si required.

1GNC is a multi-national Headquarter environment where military and civilians work close together (that is exempt from VAT). It contains mainly out of German and Dutch personal. Languages within the HQ (Headquarter) is mandatory English, preferable is also German and/of Dutch. Because of this, the CV has to be delivered in English.
