As a Data Scientist/ Data Engineer, je know the secrets of scalable data processing, data transformations and production-ready code. Je develop the transaction monitoring data model and connect large volumes of data from different parts of Rabobank.

Je combine technical expertise with clear communication. Je coordinate with data producers, developers and other stakeholders in an environment of approximately 180 colleagues. What makes this role exciting is that je work on detecting money laundering and terrorist financing while handling large volumes of data.

As a Data Scientist/ Data Engineer at Rabobank, je work on the international data model for transaction monitoring. Je use PySpark, Python and Databricks to process large data flows and make them scalable. Je write production-ready code and work with data producers from across Rabobank and experts who develop transaction monitoring logic.

Werkzaamheden:

• Develop and improve the transaction monitoring data model.
• Work with PySpark, Databricks and Airflow.
• Connect and process large volumes of data in a scalable way.
• Develop and maintain the transaction monitoring data model so that global data sources can be used effectively.
• Write and optimise production-ready code to process large data flows at scale.
• Help build a monorepository and onboard new regions to the data model.
• Coordinate with data producers from different parts of Rabobank about data sources and data quality.
• Work with developers who create transaction monitoring logic and need reliable data to do so.

Resultaten:

During your first year, je will become familiar with the team, its way of working and the data model. The goal is for je to work to become the owner together with the squad of the data model, and safeguards its technical soundness.

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a Data Scientist or Data Engineer.
• Experience with PySpark.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong communication skills.
• A proactive way of working.
• A masters degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, information studies or a comparable STEM subject.
• The ability to solve problems and work professionally with others.
• The ability to reflect critically on your own work and development.

Wensen

• Experience in an IT environment.
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of medallion architecture.

Je will join a team of 9 Data Scientists, 1 Scrum Master and 1 Product Owner. The team is responsible for the data model used for Rabobanks international clients. Je will also work with data producers from across Rabobank and developers who create transaction monitoring logic.

Hybride: Je werkt 2 dagen per week op kantoor (maandag en donderdag) en de overige dagen vanuit huis. Het team is tijdelijk gevestigd aan de Winthontlaan en zal naar verwachting in februari terugkeren naar de Croeselaan.
